Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. In this integral role, you will work directly with the d. school Finance Director on numerous finance and accounting tasks that are analytical and/or administrative in nature.
Your responsibilities include:
• With minimal supervision, review, process, gather, and compile accounting transactions and supporting documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance. Approve transactions with complex internal policies.  Will be responsible for Accounts Payable, Pcard and T-card administration, expendable reimbursements, and processing purchase orders.
• Run, and review monthly transactional expenditure reports to ensure the initial approvals are in accordance with the budget, policy, and University guidelines. Reconcile and resolve accounting issues and escalate broader issues. 
• Run, analyze, and summarize financial reports, often from multiple systems; meet with Program Managers monthly to discuss their program spending.
• Process and track revenue collected from multiple sources.
• Assist Finance Director with budget forecasting and analysis for decision-making.
• Provides guidance and direction to staff on expenses and keeps up to date on all Stanford financials.
• Responsible for approving timecards and processing payroll transactions such as stipends and one-time payment requests.
• Responsible for receiving and processing gifts under 25K in the Gift Transmittal system
• Responsible for fund transfers under the guidance and supervision of the Finance Director.
• Serve as a backup to the Finance Director.
To be successful in this position, you will bring the following:
• Bachelor's degree plus two years of relevant work experience or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Advanced proficiency in business applications, such as Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Advanced use of Pivot tables and VLOOKUP formula.
• Understanding and ability to apply accounting and finance skills and concepts.
• Strong organizational skills. Keen attention to detail and demonstrated success in following through.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively to internal audiences and client groups.
• Prior Stanford financial experience is a plus.
