Physical Inventory Specialist

• Description:
  • Conduct physical inventory of equipment.  Will include the following types of tasks: 
  • • Schedule coordination with department personnel providing access to areas. 
    • Communication using email, phone, in person, SLACK, and Zoom. 
    • Preparation of barcode scanning device prior to scanning events. 
    • Physical sighting of equipment, verification of location and identifying details, scanning barcode and marking of assets.  Requires walk-thru of various types of space including academic, administrative, labs, and storage areas.   Golf cart available for transport as needed. 
    • Fulfilling requests for asset tags.  
    • May include updating asset records and other data maintenance. 
• Requirements:
  • Ability to physically perform activities associated with the job:  walking, reaching, bending, stairs, ability to drive a golf cart, ability to use a barcode scanner, basic computer skills.  
  • Basic computer skills, experience using barcode scanning equipment is a plus. 
  • Effective communication and time management skills. 
  • Onsite work only; not a hybrid position 
  • Generally, Tuesday thru Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.  AM/PM and lunch breaks included.  Occasionally may be 3 days/week, as needed to support the inventory schedule.
