Surgical Annotator

Remote

The Stanford Medical AI and Computer Vision Lab (MARVL), located within Stanford University's Biomedical Data Science department, is actively recruiting surgery residents and attendings to annotate surgical videos. We're using state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI) and computer vision technologies to revolutionize the way surgeons learn.


Responsibilities:

As an annotator, your primary task will be watching laparoscopic videos and noting stages, errors, and assessing surgical skills based on our annotation frameworks. You may also be involved in literature reviews, memo and report writing, and data management and organization.


Position Details:
o Commitment: We're looking for individuals who can dedicate ~ 10 hours per week.
o Engagement: This is a part-time role, for ~2 months, with the potential for extension based on performance and team needs.
o Location: Work can be done remotely, with occasional Zoom meetings with other team members.

Eligibility Requirements:
To be considered, you MUST be a surgical resident or an attending (MD). A history of conducting laparoscopic procedures, or working on computer vision projects, is a plus. Please note that we are unable to sponsor VISAs for this position.


Recognition:
Annotators will receive acknowledgment in any manuscripts, publications, or presentations resulting from their contributions.
